Interview with Gagan Ajit Singh: A Hockey player by heart

Gagan Ajit SinghGagan Ajit Singh was born on December 9, 1980 in Ferozepur, Punjab. He grew as one of the main striker of the national team. His father Ajit Singh played for the national team at the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics. His uncle Harmik Singh also played Olympics for the national team. Overall, it is the Hockey-blood that runs in his veins.

Making his debut in 1997 during a test series against Russia, Singh played at the 2000 and the 2004 Summer Olympics. He was the Captain of the Indian junior team that won Junior World Cup in 2001. He was also the member of the All-Asian men’s hockey team in 2002 and was given the Arjuna Award in 2002.
