பாரதிதாசன் கட்டுரை
பாவேந்தர் என்று போற்றப்படும் பாரதிதாசன் தமிழில் புதுக்கவிதையின் முன்னோடி என்று கூறலாம். பாரதியாரின் மேல் கொண்ட பக்தியினாலும் அன்பினாலும் இவர் தனது பெயரை பாரதிதாசன் என்று சூட்டிக்கொண்டார். பாரதிதாசனின் சிறப்புக்களை இந்தக் கட்டுரையில் காண்போம்.

வீறுகொண்ட முற்போக்கு சிந்தனைகளுடன் இனிய தமிழில் கவிதைகளை எழுதிய பாரதிதாசன் பாவேந்தர் என்றும் புரட்சிக்கவிஞர் என்று அழைக்கப்படுகிறார். பாரதிதாசன் மகாகவி சுப்ரமணிய பாரதியின்பால் மிகுந்த ஈடுபாடு உடையவர். பாரதியாரின்மேல் கொண்ட பக்தியினால் இவர் தனது பெயரை பாரதிதாசன் என்று வழங்கி மகிழ்ந்தார்.
பாரதிதாசனின் இயற்பெயர் கனக சுப்புரத்தினம். புதுச்சேரியில் பிறந்த பாரதிதாசன் ஒரு தமிழாசிரியர். இவர் குயில் என்னும் பத்திரிகையையும் நடத்தி வந்தார்.
புரட்சிக்கவிஞர் பாரதிதாசன், ஏப்ரல் 29 அன்று 1891 ஆம் வருடம் பிறந்தார். இவரது பெற்றோர் கனகசபை முதலியார், இலக்குமி அம்மாள் ஆகியோர். இவரது தந்தையார் ஒரு பெரிய வணிகர். இளமையில் பிரெஞ்சு பள்ளியில் பயின்றாலும் இவர் சிறு வயதிலிருந்தே தமிழ் மொழியின்பால் மிகுந்த பற்று கொண்டு தமிழ்ப் புலமையை வளர்த்துக் கொண்டார். தமிழ் புலவருக்கான கல்லுரிப் படிப்பில் முதல் மாணாக்கராகத் தேர்வாகி கல்லூரியில் ஆசிரிய பணியை ஏற்றார்.
நண்பர் ஒருவரது திருமணத்தில் பாரதியாரின் “எங்கெங்கு காணினும் சக்தியடா” என்ற பாடலை பாரதிதாசன் பாட அங்கு எதிர்பாராமல் வந்திருந்த பாரதியாருடன் முதன் முதலாக நேரில் அறிமுகமானார். பாரதிதாசன் திராவிட இயக்கம் மற்றும் பெரியாரின் கடவுள் மறுப்பு சிந்தனைகளில் அதீத பற்றுடையவர்.
இவரது பிசிராந்தையார் என்னும் நாடகத்திற்கு 1969 ஆம் ஆண்டு சாகித்ய அகாடமி விருது கிடைத்தது. நகைச்சுவை உணர்வு நிரம்பிய பாவேந்தர் சாதி, மதம், கடவுள் ஆகியவற்றை எதிர்த்து தனது கருத்துக்களை கவிதைகளில் பதிவுசெய்தார். பாரதிதாசன் 1964 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 21ஆம் தேதி இயற்கை எய்தினார்.

Bharathidasan Katturai–Bharathidasan Essay
Praised as the kind of poems, Bharathidasan can be called as the forerunner of modern Tamil poetry. He named himself as Bharathidasan (slave of Bharathi) owing to his adoration of Mahakavi Subramanya Bharati. Here in this essay, we discuss the greatness of Bharathidasan.
Bharathidasan composed revolutionary poems in Tamil in a brave fashion. He was drawn towards the great poetry of Bharathi and hence named himself as Bharathidasan.
His original name was Kanaga Subburathinam. Born in Puducherry, he was a Tamil teacher. He also conducted a magazine called Kuyil (Cuckoo).
Puratchikavignar Bharathidasan was born on 29 April in the year 1981. His parents were Kanagasabai and Lakshimi Ammal. His father was a rich businessman. Though Bharathidasan studied in the French medium during his young days, he had a great love for Tamil. He passed his collegiate education in Tamil and became a Tamil teacher in a government college.
Once Bharathidasan sang the song of Bharathi in his friend’s marriage party which ran as “Wherever I see, I find Divine Energy” Bharathiyar had attended the said marriage party and got introduced to Bharathidasan. Bharathidasan was strongly attached to the Dravidar Movement and atheism pioneered by Periyar.
In 1969, his drama titled Pisiranthaiyar secured Sahitya Academy Award. Bhrathidasan’s poetry also had a lot of humor. He composed poems in support of atheism, caste, and divisive forces. Bharathidasan died on April 21, 1964.
