Sanskrit names of items used in a household

Sanskrit names of items used on daily-basis in our household are quite interesting. Apparently, we don’t use any of them given that usually some names from Sanskrit often sieve in the regional languages.

The Sanskrit name of mirror seems to be the one from the present list that we use in Hindi and other languages too.

There are some other names that have a similar name in Hindi and other languages; otherwise, almost all other names are unique.

Feel free to tell us if you know the name of any other item used in a household and also if you would like to know the name of any that we missed.

    1. I don’t think there is a name for treadmill in Sanskrit. However, for transliteration’s sake, you can write it something like this: ट्रैडमिलम्
