Visiting National Zoological Park, New Delhi

National Zoologoical Park, or Delhi Zoo as it is famously known as, was established in the year 1959. It lies adjacent to the Old Fort of Delhi, which is a protected monument by Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Delhi Zoo is spread over an area of 214 acres and houses a number of animals and birds.

Due to its wide-spread area, you might find it bit difficult to walk around the whole place but it is suitable to have mobile vans that runs inside to help visitors sit comfortably and roam around.

There is a ticket charged for the entrance, which is Rs. 10 for foreigners and Rs. 5 for Indian citizens. There are number of animals and birds inside including Lion, Tiger, monkeys, elephant, giraffe, crocodile, bear, white peacock, eagles, parrots, and loads of others. The zoo has basic facilities for visitors like drinking water counters at various places in the park.

Once you finish enjoying inside, there are eateries and food-joint outside the entrance gate where you can have a mouth-full of pabulum.
