English Poem–Lessons of Attainment

Posted on Posted in English Poems

I dared to know about your majesty and glory, which has eluded even the wisest of men, through my humble and little knowledge.

Though I was not versed in rites and rituals through which your grace is attainable, I still felt your warming presence.

You placed me in your lap and made me understand the underlying idea of all the acts that are performed to propitiate you—love.

You told me that if I love all, I love you.

Thank you, my Lord, for this simple but the most potent formula!

Indeed, it is easy to get you through love than all other means of scholarship and intellectualism.
