English Poem–Your ways

Posted on Posted in English Poems

It is not in your nature—though nobody can understand it—to accept or look for thanks in return to the gifts and blessings that you bestow so graciously, unasked.

You give and just feel happy, for, your stores are always brimming with love.

But sometimes you assume a childlike nature and do a little of fun. You fancy seeing the reaction of us mortal souls.

Yet, we are never ready to give you that unalloyed joy, and out of our never satisfied  thirst, we complain for more.

Pardon us, O Eternal Child! This world has never appreciated the childlike attitude, for, they feel—though they can’t—that it’s only with cleverness, we can live in this world. You are prayed to keep this childlike attitude and forgive us out of your infinite innocence.
