Whenever there is a mention of rose’s name in different languages, the famous lines of Sir William Shakespeare flash in mind:

What’s in the name? A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

No doubt, rose is one of the commonest and frequently referred flowers in poetry across the world. Though in Sanskrit, lotus is mentioned more than other flowers.
