How to say how are you in Punjabi
Punjabi language is pretty much close to Hindi and Sanskrit, but its pronunciation is a bit laid back and involves a lot of stress on many points. While learning Indian languages, you need to take care of the syntax when it comes to a phrase rather than only a word.
Phonetically, the Punjabi words for ‘How are you’ would be:
- Tusī’n Kiwe’n Ho (Used for formally and also for elder people in age, authority, and position)
- Tū’n Kiwe’n Hai’n (Used informally and also for younger people in age, authority, and position)
Also notice the new sound used to represent the dot at the end of the words represented by: ‘n
This sound is particular to some of the languages in India. Its sound is different from the Anuswara because it relates more to ‘n’ than ‘m’.
