Cartridge World plans to expand franchise network to 250 stores by 2012 in the Indian sub-continent

Cartridge World, the world’s number one eco-friendly retailer of printer cartridge recharging services today launched the sixth franchisee store at Laketown in Kolkata. The store was launched by Debesh Das, Honourable MIC, Dept. of IT, Government of West Bengal.

Debesh Das also distributed saplings to the Laketown Cultural Organisation which will be planted in the Children’s Park and local area as part of the event and to reinforce Cartridge World’s commitment of helping to Save the Environment.

The store will offer all printer-related needs under one roof will services including recharging inkjet cartridges and laser cartridges – both backed with money back warranty, printer repairs and free customer education on cartridge care. The store will also stock original Inkjet & Laser cartridges, high quality speciality paper, OEM Printers and other office supplies.

Celebrating the launch Naveen Rakhecha – CEO – South Asia, Cartridge World said “Cartridge World has a strong presence in all the major Indian cities. We are now looking at aggressively expanding into Tier II and Tier III cities too. At Cartridge World the slowdown has catalyzed our growth process. Even the staunchest ‘OEM only’ user is now ready to give us a chance as cost cutting becomes imperative. The presence of a globally established brand which offers guaranteed service helps them take this first step more reassuringly.”

Talking about the Kolkata launch he said “After the Lake Town store we are set to launch our 7th store in Kolkata located at Kasba in the first week of January 2010 and 3 to 4 more stores in the coming year”

Cartridge World has chalked out aggressive expansion plans for the Indian sub-continent. Apart from spreading its wings in the Tier II and Tier III cities in India, the company also has plans to launch stores in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. It plans to take its tally of Franchisee stores to approximately 250 across the Indian sub-continent over the next 2 to 3 years.
