Conviction–a poem for Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Here is another poem that I wrote while contemplating on Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I hope you will like some of the words of this poem.
CONVICTION
They say I have come from the other world, where I once was one with thee. Now ye sent me in this world and I again wanted to return, to get ye, though in some other form.
But some say it is waste to love the things of this world, when anyhow you will have to leave this place. I did not understand that ye are somewhere else—but is it really so? –I am confused even now!
Ye separated me and I never groaned, but now that I want ye, is it fair to keep quiet like that?
I may be wrong in my notion that it’s I that want ye; however, ye may be longing more for me. But this is where the difference lies: ye separated me because of my fault; I want ye back with a wrong perception that ye are here in this world—it is my fault; and I failed to get ye back—still, my fault!
Salute and reverence to ye, O my Lord! –For ye helped me to concrete my conviction that ye are always right!
