There is no specific name for it in Hindi–they just call it “naariyal kaa Paani” (नारियल का पानी).

In Sanskrit, I am not sure what they call it but I will consult someone and see if I could get it. Thanks!

Peaches are not called mera sebu. Wood apple is called as mera sebu (mara sebu)

Soursop fruit is called as Ramphala in kannada. It is available very abundantly in mangalore and udupi markets. In fact we have lots of these trees in our farm at udupi, I was very much surprised to hear its medicinal value, because I was not aware of it untill now . Thankyou for the info.

    hi,
very interesting compilation of names of fruits.
recently near sakleshpur, i came across a fruit which is called “haale hannu” by locals. it is pale yellow when ripe and is eaten by locals and is very sticky inside mouth when eaten and the seeds are similar to sapota seeds.
anybody has any idea what fruit this is and what its english name is.

    thanks.
