Mergence–a poem for Sri Sathya Sai Baba
Here is another poem that I wrote while contemplating on Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This poem is very close to my heart and I hope you will also like some of the words.
MERGENCE
In those guarded arteries of my heart, I seated my little self, which I prized more than anything else.
And you my Lord! –You, without even informing me, entered therein and created an upset.
I became a stranger to myself and forgot what I liked or disliked. Wherever I searched, I found your image, and every turn made me restless about my own identity.
You created a furore in me, and I felt the pain that could not be vented out through groans. It was like that you were reshaping every aspect of my personality.
And like a tiny stream that runs fast to preserve its form but finds its bigger-self in its mergence with the sea, I, at last, found my little-self there in your all-conquering vastness—you imparted eternity to it by dissolving its identity.
