Include the english name of vegetables like lao, palang, potol, notey shaak etc

    Thanks!

The English name of these vegetables might be:

    Lao–Bottle Gourd
    Palang–Spinach
    Potol–Pointed Gourd
    Notey Shaak–some kind of spinach.

I am not fully sure about whether “notey shaak”. This could be a regional vegetable.

I bought a small plant in an Asian shop the store keeper said it was called Hodu in Bengali.

He showed me a vegetable the size of a marrow, it was apple green, he suggested it was a pumpkin?

He said the vegetable would cost £2 approx.

When my small plant grows and ‘fruits’ How do I cook it?

    Many Thanks
